Refutation of claiming that animals are not harmed because they have no continuity of consciousness:
- Most of the animals harmfully used by human beings demonstrably have memories and anticipation, even birds. So there is every evidence that animals have continuity of consciousness. This is just another rationalization to deny animal suffering because it is convenient to do so.
