Refutation of claiming that animals are not avoidably harmed in recreational hunting:

  • Animals are painfully killed by bullets or arrows or knives, often killed while fleeing or eating bait. Their lives are foreshortened, and many die of lingering deaths from wounding, or suffer wounds and heal. Many young offspring are left abandoned because the parents are killed.
