Refutation of claiming that it is worthwhile not to suffer avoidable harm:
- By definition, harm represents something of negative of worth, as opposed to worth occurring during a time as in what is worthwhile. Therefore it is incoherent to deny that it is worthwhile for any given person not to suffer avoidable harm.
- Anyone who does not find it worthwhile to avoid avoidable harm is indeed irrational and needs therapy for self-hatred or masochism.
